Business Development Specialist

Job Overview

The Business Development Specialist will be an integral part of the commercial organization of SHL Technologies. S/he will be mainly focusing on all Europe based customers.

Main Responsibilities

• Develop and follow up on business leads for the assigned region and/or customer
• Ensure customer satisfaction and act as the main point of contact
• Identify and actively develop new markets, business, and customers
• Active participation on trade shows to represent the company and our product offering
• Acquire and maintain a deep knowledge about the relevant market segments for all product areas
• Maintain budgets for the assigned region/customer and track expenditures
• Manage administrative functions to ensure smooth and efficient operations of the organization
• Participate in strategic planning for the region and SHL Technologies goals as needed
• Represent the organization to the public, key stakeholders and business partner
• Answer technical questions and provide guidance to customers as appropriate

Skills and Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably mechatronics)
• First work experience in Account Management, Business Development or in the relevant industry sector
• A keen interest in Sales and market development
• Open to travel (up to 50%)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and German
• Strong client management, business communication, relationship building and negotiation skills
• Ability to maintain demanding timelines and flexibility to assume a workload which frequently necessitates an adjustment of priorities
• Well-organized, attentive to detail, skilled in setting priorities and meeting deadlines, and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Experience working with internationally based clients and colleagues
